Olaf Tufte, a two-time Olympic rowing champion, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, at the age of 50 following a cardiac arrest.

On Monday afternoon around 3:00 p.m., he was found unconscious at his family farm. First responders performed immediate life-saving care on-scene before airlift-transporting him to Oslo National Hospital (Rikshospitalet). Despite extensive medical efforts, he died the following day.

Tufte is survived by his wife, Aina, and two children.
